Truecaller, a caller ID and spam communications blocking program, has released an 'AI Call Scanner' function.
The function allows its customers to distinguish between human voices and AI -AI-synthesized sounds, protecting them from potential scams and fraud.
According to Truecaller, an AI voice synthesizer can make a full clone of a voice in under three seconds.
The AI Call Scanner is included with the Truecaller Android app and is part of the Premium membership.
It will be launched initially in the United States, followed by India and other key Truecaller markets.
