Samsung has confirmed the launch of the Galaxy Ring in August 2024.
Samsung is currently involved in a legal dispute, requesting a ruling from the US District Court in California that the Galaxy Ring does not infringe on patents held by Oura Health.
Samsung is defending its product against claims of patent infringement, particularly against patents that Oura Health claims are unique to its products. Samsung argues these are common features in smart rings.
The Galaxy Ring is reportedly in the prototype production stage, with mass production expected to begin soon. Samsung may initially launch the device with a limited number of units.
The Galaxy Ring is expected to include health monitoring features such as an ECG sensor and blood flow monitoring.
