Enable precise location access and ensure GPS is turned on. Weak location signals can prevent navigation from starting correctly.
Confirm that you've selected a valid destination and travel mode (Driving, Walking, Cycling, or Transit) before expecting the Start button to appear.
If you're using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, disconnect and reconnect your phone, then reopen Google Maps to refresh navigation.
