Microsoft has decided to delay the release of the Recall AI feature due to security concerns.
The feature, which tracks and stores a history of computer usage, raised privacy risks as it stored data in an unencrypted state.
Instead of a broad release, Recall AI will now be previewed with a smaller group through the Windows Insider Program.
Recall AI tracks everything from web browsing to voice chats, creating a searchable history on the user's device.
Microsoft plans to enable Recall AI in a future Windows update after additional feedback, but no specific timeframe has been provided.
