Max: Meta's Humanoid Robot Meta reportedly developed Max, a humanoid robot prototype, in just three months. The company worked with Chinese robotics firm Fourier on the project for internal testing and research.

Household Assistance: Meta is exploring how robots could help with everyday household tasks. However, the company has not yet shown a fully working robot designed to manage household chores.

Size and Weight: Max reportedly stands around 1.5 metres tall and weighs about 48 kilograms. Its size gives it a human-like shape that could help it work in home settings.

Nvidia Jetson Thor Chip: The prototype reportedly runs on Nvidia's Jetson Thor computing platform. The chip helps process information for tasks such as sensing objects, controlling movement and responding to its surroundings.

Expressive Display and Speakers: Max has a display on its face that can show different expressions. It also has built-in speakers that allow it to speak and interact with people through audio.

Five-Fingered Robotic Hands: The robot reportedly has five-fingered hands that can pick up small objects. These include items such as bottles and toys. However, its ability to handle more complex tasks is still unclear.

Max 2: The Second Generation Meta reportedly started working on Max 2 in September. The new version is expected to have a redesigned torso and improved hands. These changes could help the robot handle objects more easily.

Advanced Navigation Features: Max 2 is also expected to feature a projector and additional sensors. These tools could help the robot understand its surroundings and move around household spaces, including stairs.

Muse AI Integration: Meta reportedly sees humanoid robots as a physical extension of Muse, its AI agent. This approach could bring AI-powered assistance beyond screens and into people's homes.
