Government to Boost AI in the Food Processing Sector

Supraja

According to officials on Wednesday, India intends to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) in the food processing industry.

The mission is to increase productivity, raise farmer incomes, and lessen its negative environmental effects.

Senior government advisors and bureaucrats emphasized the need for a roadmap to implement artificial intelligence (AI) tools, at a conference hosted by NIFTEM.

“As an industry, we need to create a roadmap. The MEITY secretary has come on board. I am sure he is going to be a big support in this endeavor,” Food Processing Secretary Anita Praveen said.

The experts stated that as India wants to achieve net zero emissions by 2070, AI techniques could aid in enhancing sector efficiency overall.
