How to Remove Unwanted Apps and Services from a Samsung TV

Clean Up Your Samsung TV: Unwanted apps and streaming services can clutter your Samsung TV’s home screen, making your favourite apps harder to find. A quick cleanup can simplify navigation and free up storage space.
Open the Apps Menu: Press the Home button on your Samsung TV remote and select Apps. Find the application you no longer use to access its management options.
Select the App You Want to Delete: Open the app’s options menu by pressing and holding the Select button on your remote. Depending on your TV model, you may also find app controls under App Settings.
Uninstall Unused Apps: Choose Delete and confirm your selection to uninstall the app. Remember that deleting an app also removes its associated data, so check before proceeding.
Remove Apps Without Uninstalling Them: Want to keep an app but hide it from the home screen? Select List Edit, highlight the app and choose Remove. The app stays installed and can be added back later.
Disable Samsung TV Plus: If you do not use Samsung TV Plus, select its tile on the home screen, open its options and choose Remove, followed by Disable if available. This can hide the service and remove its channels from the TV guide.
Why Some Apps Cannot Be Deleted: Certain default and pre-installed apps cannot be uninstalled because Samsung restricts their removal. If the Delete option is unavailable or greyed out, try removing the app from the home screen instead.
Lock Apps You Want to Restrict: If you share your TV with children or family members, use the Lock option to restrict access to selected apps with a PIN. This is useful when you want to keep an app installed without allowing everyone to open it.
Keep Your TV Home Screen Organised: Review your installed apps regularly, delete services you no longer need and move frequently used apps to the front. Menu names and available options can vary by Samsung TV model, software version and region.
