In an Interview, P. James (Jim) Brady, the Advisor at BRIDGEi2i Analytics Solutions explains how the company solve intricate business problems and deliver digital transformation outcomes.


What is your Leadership Mantra?

In a professional services firm, there are two pillars: the demand side is clients, and the supply side is people. To have an excellent professional services firm, you must have exceptional leadership and excellent recruitment, which translates into amazing talent. So, for me, it comes down to two words – People First!


Please tell us about your role at BRIDGEi2i and how you plan to scale it up?

I’ll be joining the board of members at BRIDGEi2i Analytics Solutions as an Advisor. My primary charter will be on advising the C-suite for Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies with a focus on a specific client segment: The Fortune 500 companies.

I believe that the products and offerings at BRIDGEi2i are the right fit for several Fortune top-listers and BRIDGEi2i is a transformation partner for global clients across the portfolio spanning Banking & Finance, Insurance, Consumer Product Goods, and Technology, cutting across domains like marketing, sales, operations, and supply chains. By having the depth and experience to understand typical business problems, they have devised ready-made blocks of solutions to address those.

Having been the COO of Grant Thornton and before that, running the business at Deloitte makes me capable of handling the mantle at both a strategic level as well as the implementation level.


Kindly share your Point of View on the current scenario of AI-Analytics in the industry.

Today, digital transformation has taken an all-new meaning for enterprises globally. It all comes down to improved customer experience, enhanced operational effectiveness, and developing newer business models.

Artificial Intelligence and Analytics are changing the world at an incredible pace. Decision-making has evolved from being an anecdotal call taken by leaders to a scientific, algorithm-led approach. Enterprise wide-digital transformation is a reality across the globe. We are poised at the edge of a promising future.


How is AI Evolving in the industry as a whole?

AI and IoT are just a few levers of the trend that has kickstarted what some people call the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Enterprises globally are using AI in line with their business goals whether it’s to continually revamp their operational effectiveness or innovate on customer experience. With the right attitude and approach, AI can pave the way for newer and more impactful digital business models as well!

We’re all heading towards a smarter and more intelligent future and the critical thing to do when you are on the trajectory of change is to embrace it! We must get on to the curve of learning and work on strengthening the base to an AI-intensive future.


How Has Big Data and AI changed the role of CIOs and Leaders?

I’m an optimist, and I believe that the evolution of AI may reduce some jobs but in the long run, lead us to different careers. The retraining and retooling of the workforce will become paramount to organizations in the age of AI. Retraining the workforce rests on the working of individuals, the private sector, and the government.

While the onus will be on the individual initiative to keep upskilling oneself, even enterprises and the government will need to intervene and strategize on how to enable an AI-inclusive world. I was impressed by BRIDGEi2i’s sheer dedication to learning and development of new technologies with their in-house Centre of Excellence: SCaLA. It is an employee initiative which encourages enthusiasts to keep upskilling their AI and Analytics knowledge – which is the need of the hour.
