WhatsApp Users May See Ads in Status and Channels Soon

IndustryTrends

According to TechCrunch, WhatsApp's president Will Cathcart stated in an interview the firm does not want to introduce advertisements.

In September, Meta denied a report that the Mark Zuckerberg-led corporation was intending to add advertisements in WhatsApp.

Cathcart stated that a Financial Times article claiming that Meta teams were studying adverts in WhatsApp as the social network "seeks revenue boost" was inaccurate.

WhatsApp had previously considered placing advertising in Status but never implemented it.
