What is Enhanced Safe Browsing and Why Is Google Promoting It?

IndustryTrends

Enhanced Safe Browsing is a feature that helps protect you from dangerous websites, downloads, and emails.

The feature is turned on by default and improves security as you browse Google Chrome and Gmail.

To enable Enhanced Safe Browsing, open Google account > Click on security > go to Enhanced Safe Browsing section > Click Enable.

It takes up to 24 hours for Enhanced Safe Browsing to start protecting your device once you manually enable it

You can turn it off if you want, but Google says it is generally a good idea to keep it on.
