Social media platform “X,” formerly Twitter, now allows paid users to hide their verification checkmarks

The company launched the paid verification last year

Initially called Twitter Blue, the service was renamed to XBlue as a part of the ongoing rebranding process of the platform

X has updated the “help page for paid subscriptions.” The page is called “About Twitter Blue.”

The feature will supposedly help users take advantage of the subscription feature without revealing that they are verified account
