Mukesh Ambani Backs the Launch of a ChatGPT-Style AI Model

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani indicated that RIL's Jio would launch new AI systems in India, comparable to OpenAI's ChatGPT. 

Ambani stated that he is committed to making AI accessible to all Indians and leading the development of India-specific AI models and solutions. 

Interestingly, this news appears to follow OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's remarks criticizing India's AI initiatives being "hopeless," which he subsequently said were taken out of context.

Ambani stated at Reliance Industries Limited's (RIL) 46th Annual General Meeting that Jio is planning to introduce cutting-edge AI systems similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Furthermore, he underlined Jio Platforms' aim to lead the effort to design AI models specific to India.
