Meta is giving away its AI tech to compete with ChatGPT

Market Trends

Meta stated that it will open-source its large language model LLaMA 2, giving it free for commercial and research usage.

The company said that it will compete with OpenAI's free-to-use GPT-4, which drives technologies such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Bing.

Meta announced the move as part of Microsoft's Inspire event, citing its support for Azure and Windows.

Simultaneously, Microsoft unveiled further information about the AI technologies incorporated into its 360 platforms.

Qualcomm also announced a collaboration with Meta to deliver LLaMa to laptops, phones, and headsets beginning in 2024.
