Humane unveils AI Pin, a wearable device with OpenAI

IndustryTrends

Humane, a startup founded by former Apple executives, has unveiled its first product: the Ai Pin, a wearable device powered by OpenAI.

The Ai Pin is a screenless device that can be clipped to the user's clothing and can perform various tasks such as web search, object recognition, photo capture, and real-time translation.

The AI Pin uses a laser ink display to project a visual interface onto the user's palm, and can be controlled by voice, touch, gesture, or camera.

The AI Pin operates on a Snapdragon processor and runs on Humane's own operating system, which integrates OpenAI's GPT-4 model for natural language understanding and generation.

The AI Pin costs $699 and comes with a complete kit of accessories, including battery boosters, a charging pad, a charging case, a cable, and an adapter.
