How News Media Are Adopting AI to Enhance Journalism

A major international news organisation has released guidelines for utilising AI to generate content.

The Associated Press has stated that it will continue to experiment with AI but will not use it to generate publishable articles or photographs.

A recent job posting from Newsquest Media Group seeks an "AI-assisted reporter" who "will be at the forefront of a new era in journalism”. 

The reporter will use AI to "assist in the writing of news articles" and will "integrate AI-generated content into newsrooms of various sizes."

Job postings like these demonstrate how split the industry is on the question of employing AI to produce journalistic content.
