Google Has a New "Woke" AI Issue That Will Be Challenging to Resolve

Gemini has been tossed onto a fairly enormous bonfire: the culture war raging between left- and right-wing societies.

Gemini is essentially Google's version of the popular chatbot ChatGPT. It can answer queries in text and produce images in response to text instructions.

Initially, a viral post showed this freshly launched AI picture generator creating an image of the US Founding Fathers that incorrectly featured a black figure.

Gemini also produced German troops from World War II, including an erroneously depicted black guy and an Asian lady.

Google apologized and promptly "paused" the tool, claiming that it was "missing the mark" in a blog post.
