Gmail Introduces Spam Detection Tool: What You Should Know

IndustryTrends

Gmail has announced new requirements for bulk senders, who send more than 5,000 messages to Gmail addresses in one day, to keep Gmail safer and more spam-free.

The new requirements focus on email validation, which means that bulk senders need to authenticate their emails using industry standards, such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Email validation helps Gmail identify and block spoofed or fraudulent emails, which are often used for phishing or malware attacks.

Gmail also uses advanced AI-driven filters to detect and flag spam emails, based on various signals, such as the IP address, domain, content, and user feedback of the sender.

Gmail users can also help Gmail improve its spam detection by reporting suspicious or unwanted emails, or by unsubscribing from bulk senders that they no longer want to receive emails from.
