France Smacks a 20-Million-Euro File on US-Based Face Recognition Firm

On Thursday, France levied a 20-million-euro fine on the US firm Clearview AI for breaching privacy laws.

The company basically gathers images of faces on websites and social media feeds without seeking permission and sells access to its vast database. 

Privacy analysts around the world have raised objections to its business model, and are forcing it to stop selling private information!
