DeepMind AI Develops Algorithms That Sort Data Faster

Algorithms were constructed by an AI system based on Google DeepMind's AlphaZero AI.

The methods may sort data up to three times as quickly when implemented in the common computer language C++.

For decades, computer scientists have optimized how computers organize data to cut down on time-critical milliseconds.

Now, London-based DeepMind has significantly increased sorting times by utilising the technique used in AlphaZero.
