Bill Gates Foresees AI Personal Assistants Becoming a Reality in 5 Years

IndustryTrends

According to a Fortune story, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates made a daring prediction regarding artificial intelligence: he said that everyone will soon have a robot "agent" working for them.

According to the tech entrepreneur, everyone will have a personal assistant who can do practically anything, and the technology will even plan entire journeys for its customers.

"When asked, it will recommend things to do based on your interests and propensity for adventure, and it will book reservations at the types of restaurants you would enjoy," he added.

He went on to say, "If you want this kind of deeply personalised planning today, you need to pay a travel agent and spend time telling them what you want."

These views come at a time when AI technology is advancing, with the advent of new platforms like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Microsoft's Bing, Google Bard, and Elon Musk's Grok.
