In 2023 alone, the IT sector fired 212,294 people, more than double the 164,709 reported in 2022.

Companies are currently looking at recruits, a few tech firms have turned to AI as the cause of major job losses.

Chegg, an educational technology firm, stated that 80, or 4%, of its workforce, will be laid off.
