Adobe Adds Two AI Features to Substance 3D Design Application

IndustryTrends

Adobe is leveraging Firefly AI to introduce two new generative AI features to its Substance 3D creation suite.

The San Jose, California-based business said the new capabilities, are intended to provide artists with additional options to achieve their ideas without leaving the Substance app.

The first tool, known as 'word to Texture' for Substance 3D Sampler, enables users to generate photorealistic or stylized aesthetics for their projects with a simple word prompt.

The second component of the Substance 3D Stager program is the Generative backdrop, which allows developers to construct a backdrop for an item using just text prompts.

These two elements do not build 3D models but rather apply 2D imaging technologies in such a way that the end output resembles a 3D image.
